After graduating from the Faculty of Law, Hunan Institute of Science and Technology, Zhong Qi worked at the Yueyang prefecture People's Prosecutor's Office in Hunan Province, China, and the Yueyang city People's Prosecutor Office for six and a half years. he successively served as secretary, assistant prosecutor, prosecutor (candidate), and deputy section chief.
After passing the Chinese bar examination, as a Chinese public prosecutor, he dealt with politicians' corruption cases, financial crimes, cybercrimes, and corporate criminal compliance. And he also handled requests for trial, researches of evidence and examinations of witnesses, and lawsuits (over 6 years). During this time, he was in charge of a Poverty alleviation project led by the Chinese government.
